The real voyage of discovery is not seeking new landscapes, but having new eyes. (Proust)
PHOTOGRAPHY
Columnar basalts, Mount Hood, Oregon
My photography is an extension of my interest in the Earth's geologic and living systems, and of the interaction of people with their environment. It focuses on the landscapes and ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the American West and (new!) the Appalachians, especially Kentucky, West Virginina and North Carolina. It also documents patterns and processes that formed our landscape, as well as the processes that are active today.
